Banners on buildings, advertisements in store windows, chaotic infrastructure and unclear street design – an inevitable reality that we have become accustomed to or something that can be changed?
Research clearly says that our surroundings significantly affect our lives and our health.
Visual smog means stress.
Excessive noise means stress.

A well-designed city means a better, safer and healthier life. Therefore, it makes sense to gradually transform public spaces, streets and roads into safer, cleaner, more beautiful – more cultivated.

This is also helped by public space manuals and specific changes that the Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava has been preparing since its inception. In the Czech Republic, the organization Our Cultivated Cities is also dedicated to transforming streets. At the next MIB Talk at TU-BA, guests will talk about how our cities can be changed for the better, both theoretically and practically:

Veronika Rút, founder of the organization Our Cultivated Cities, which helps cities across the Czech Republic set rules for advertising in public spaces.

Oto Nováček, manager of public space concepts at the Bratislava Metropolitan Institute, who creates manuals and specific solutions for better public spaces.

Miroslav Mojžiš, appointed head of the Strategic Project Management Department of the Staré Mesto Municipal District.

Dušan Ševela, Head of design development at ALTO Real Estate, where he leads the department responsible for urban planning, architecture and project design.

This event has already taken place.
