CITYMAKERS: Charles Landry

Speaker:
Charles Landry is an international advisor on the future of cities, best known for popularizing the concept of the Creative City. His book The Creative City: A Toolkit for Urban Innovators became the impetus for a movement that introduced a new way of thinking about urban planning, development, and city management. His goal is to help cities become more resilient, self-sufficient, and achieve results that exceed their size or perceived limits.

The event will be moderated by Petra Marko, Chief Executive of the Metropolitan Institute. The lecture is taking place as part of the Cities Ahead Academy, organized by the Metropolitan Institute in collaboration with the Goethe Institut. The Cities Ahead programme supports ambitious European cities in enhancing their international visibility and cultural attractiveness.
