MIB Talk: Brownfield Transformation

The talk will introduce the Bratislava Brownfield Development Strategy developed at the Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava, which lays the foundation for a coordinated and systematic renewal of these areas. Based on long-term data collection, it builds on key city strategies such as Bratislava 2030, the Urban Housing Policy Concept and will support the principle of a compact city in the new Metropolitan Plan. The discussion will explore how the city can actively shape brownfield transformation through concrete policies and tools that help transform underused sites into fully integrated urban neighbourhoods.
